Epic Trial Character
Hey, I'm new and I bought Nightfall and got the Trial for Prophecies/Factions. I made an Assasin in Factions, and I was wondering if there was any way to bring that character over to Nightfall.

Once you get to Kaineng Center you can move characters to Nightfall or Prophecies. Each continent has a port city which gives access to the Battle Isles and the other countries.
/edit Vahn Roi got it right, I wasn't thinking of the 'trial' part(<<tired). If you want to try Nightfall, get a Nightfall trial. Even if you could take a trial over to Nightfall from Factions, you would probably waste most of your time getting to the port, making the effort pointless. I would think being able to bring a trial character over to another campaign you own would defeat the purpose of the trial. :P
and those port cities are: Lion's Arch (Prophecies) Kaineng City (Factions) Kamadan, Jewl of Istan (Nightfall) |

Even if you could bring a character over and were able to access it after your trial ended, you wouldn't be able to unlock skills for it, so yeah, there really is no point.

To create an Assassin capable of traveling to Elona you need to own Factions. Since you own Nightfall you cannot create Assassins or Ritualists. Trial characters will most likely have the quests necessary for changing chapters disabled. Sry, but to really play an Assassin you will really have to buy Factions. Which is nowhere nearly as bad a game as everyone wants to make you believe around here (Actually I think it is quite good and even those ranting about it have probably spent 200h+ in Cantha which is 192h more attentions than your average $40 game.)

To OP: As others have stated, port is via Kaineng quest to get to Elona (Nightfall). Whether it makes sense to do so depends on how you added the trial key.
If you created a new account then it is pointless since you won't have access to your main account unlocks. However, if you added the trial key to your MAIN account, then the Factsion/Phrophecies chars will have access to all of your unlocks. You will also be able to keep playing your Factions char once you buy a retail key and add it to your main account. This is a bit reversed, but many people were doing this when Nightfall first came out because they had not received either their pre-order, or the shipment was delayed. As a result, many of us with spare trial keys basically gave them away to people who then added it to their main accounts. |
